About Mellanie...

Mellanie is a native of Baltimore born and raised who attended Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from Western High School, the oldest all girls' public high school in the nation. Currently her career includes working with the federal and state governments regarding environmental and deficits related to research. Previously, she worked for Baltimore City Public Schools for 17 years. Mellanie is a certified QPR Gatekeeper and also has ASIST training issued by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. She also works with American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, providing support and awareness on suicide prevention. She is a graduate of Community College of Baltimore County with a degree in Human Services and General Studies. Currently holds a B.A. in Human Services from University of Baltimore and will currently in graduate school working towards her MPA. Mellanie lives in Baltimore County with her family and enjoys watching basketball, attending concerts, sporting events and completing DIY home projects. She also enjoys traveling and finding new seafood restaurants.
